In 2011, I helped Coca‑Cola to launch what became an iconic marketing campaign. Share a Coke made an impact on a global scale with a simple creative idea – turning Coca‑Cola bottles and cans into personalized keepsakes by swapping out the logo with popular first names – that encouraged fans to connect and make memories with friends and loved ones.

Now at 2025, Share a Coke is making a comeback as Gen Z seeks authentic connection in an increasingly digital world. Share a Coke will encourage this audience to tap into the nostalgia of personalizing a can of Coca‑Cola as a creative way to show their friends, loved ones and community that they see them – a reminder that all it takes to spark a connection is a simple act of sharing.

But while consumers with popular names may find their names on Coke bottles at the store shelves, most people in the U.S. have unique names.

Again, I have the pleasure to support the talented team at Fortis to make the "Share a Coke Personalized Bottles" website live.

Now, EVERYONE can celebrate their individuality by ordering a personalized Coke bottle here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/df749-GG

This initiative beautifully brings together the two earlier Coca-Cola campaigns I was involved in:

🟥 Share a Coke (2011)

🟥 Stay Extraordinary, Millions of One-of-a-Kind Bottles (2014)

With carefully developed typographic rules using HP Spark, each name—regardless of length or letters shape—gracefully interacts with the iconic Coke ribbon. Special attention was given to handling descenders, right-tailed letters, and other design constraints to ensure the best visual balance.

It was a fantastic experience collaborating with the brilliant creatives at Fortis, including Rob Daniels and Scott B.

Thank you for letting me be part of this journey!
